Bellingham Art Walk

Bellingham has a long and rich relationship with it’s artistic community, which should really come as no surprise to anyone who’s spent any time in our beautiful city. Being surrounded by naturally breathtaking landscapes, an incredible bay view that produces exquisite sunsets on a daily basis and a vastly creative and connected population, it would be nearly impossible not to be inspired even by visiting.

In fact, Bellingham is ranked the second best arts community in the country based on it’s number of active arts businesses per capita. This is due in no small part to Bellingham’s monthly downtown Art Walk. Downtown’s Art Walks exhibit features many different local artists in a wide variety of venues in downtown Bellingham. On the first Friday of every month, local artists are on display in downtown galleries, boutiques, restaurants, studios, and more. The event runs from 6-10 pm, participating businesses open their doors to the public, allowing everyone to enjoy works created by the local art community.

The month of October’s Art Walk will take place this Friday evening (October 3rd) and will feature the works of many talented local artists like Katie Johnson, whose unique artistic style has captured the attentions and imaginations of many Bellingham art lovers. Katie’s work will be on display at Aslan Brewing Company for the month of October as well as being featured on the cover of this month’s local publication, What’s Up Magazine.
